Geocache Description:

The cache IS at the posted coordinates. But you must meet the challenge qualifications before you claim your find.

I recently completed my second Jasmer on a trip to attend Mingo Madness, and thought about placing a Double Jasmer Challenge because there was already a Jasmer Challenge in Maryland. But I found out there aren't enough locals with two go arounds on their Jasmer boards (and that Double Jasmer Challenges are no longer allowed…bummer!), not even adding cachers from NoVaGo, Pennsylvania and Delaware. So I though the idea was dead on arrival. But when I went to go get the Maryland Jasmer Challenge, I saw the CO had archived it. This solved my dilemma: there is now, once again, a version on the Jasmer Challenge in Maryland. and it is easily accessible to travelers through BWI.

If you have never heard, where have you been? The Jasmer Challenge is one of the more difficult Challenges in Geocaching. It was named after JasmerB, a geocacher that I have had the pleasure of meeting while living in NorCal. JasmerB is not that active anymore, and I joked with him that he now can't claim other versions of the challenge that bears his name. The concept of the challenge sounds simple but it is definitely not easy, hence the D/T rating: find one cache published in each month since Geocaching has existed. At the time of this challenge's publish date, Geocaching has just observed its 21's anniversary, which means at least 253 months. When you claim the find, you must pass the challenge checker below. No "I will meet the challenge once I find a cache published this month" excuses are accepted. If I couldn't create this challenge until I had all current months, neither can you claim it. You may only use the challenge checker below to qualify (sorry, GSAK users!). The cache itself is a 1.5/1.5 D/T, but it is rated at the maximum since it takes a lot of traveling to get all the required caches. In keeping with the theme, the container is one that I am recycling that used to be a throw down on another cache I recently found.

JasmerB's original Jasmer Challenge, GC1GBC1, remains the only version of the Jasmer Challenge that I have found to the date of this cache's publishing.
