Grab your friends and family, get outside, and go exploring! 50 new adventures await all across the beautiful state of Michigan. This one is known as Adventure 7. Each new adveuture takes you to a new location surrounded by natural beauty and outdoor activities. 

 

Adventure 7:

Located in Chelsea, MI Waterloo Recreation area has more than 20000 acres to roam.  This is the largest state park in the Lower Peninsula and home to a diverse array of camping options, 11 inland lakes, an awesome trail system, a visitor center and more. This park is open year round and does require an admission fee or recreation passport (available through the MI DNR).  It is also home to a diverse array of camping options (such as modern, rustic and equestrian campgrounds, backpack-only sites and overnight lodging facilities),  an awesome trail system, a visitor center and more. The park is well known for its mountain biking trail, the  DTE Energy Foundation Trail, horseback riding trails, and excellent fishing and hunting opportunities.
-Horse 'N Around Stables operates the park's riding stable and offers guided horseback rides over scenic overlooks, pony rides and more.
-Waterloo's track chair program helps visitors explore areas of the park where traditional wheelchairs might not be able to reach.
-The Gerald Eddy Discovery Center introduces visitors to the fascinating world of geology and to the diverse natural habitats found within Waterloo.
