The water flowing in the park is well water pumped from the underground water vein flowing through the gravel layer of the Musashino Plateau. You can buy fresh vegetables harvested by Mr. Shinomiya every morning in the nearby small shop. A bakery located about 40m to the west sells bread made from Yanagikubo wheat produced in Higashikurume City. I recommend the "Nut Stick" which contains plenty of nuts.
わき水広場に流れる水は武蔵野台地の礫層を流れる地下水脈から汲み上げた井戸水です。近くの直売所では、近所で農家を営む篠宮さんがその日の朝収穫した野菜を販売しています。西に40ｍほどいったところにあるパン屋さんでは、東久留米市産の「柳久保小麦」を使ったパンを販売しています。ナッツがたっぷり入った「ナッツ棒」がお薦めです。
