MOVING TO THE MAPLE GROVE SHELTER AT N41° 37.412 W081° 12.276' WHICH IS FURTHER AWAY THAN GC.COM WILL ALLOW ME FOR CHANGING THE COORDINATES. BUT I HAVE NO CHOICE
A sign with the new coordinates will be posted at the prking lot near the original location.

We will follow all current CDC and Ohio mandates regarding Covid-19 safety. As of June 2, 2021 masks became optional social distancing is up to you as the shelter has a capcity of 100 people.
Each month is a newly listed event cache with its own GC number so you can post a new "attended" log for each month you attend.
The event is usually held during the 3rd full week of the month. Location varies monthly and is hosted by a different cacher each month.
Please be sure to log a "Will Attend" log so that you will receive any announcements that the Event Owner may post.
New people are always welcome! So wear a name tag with your caching name and first name so we can spot you as one of us.
This event cache was originally hosted by SherwoodForest on behalf of the NEOGeocachers and was adopted in 2005 by Geauga Garmin in his memory. It ran for 154 consecutive months under GCK5E6. After that each event was required toihave a unique GC number and continued to run every month until the pandemic. And now it is back!

About the park: This 644-acre park is bisected south to north by the scenic Big Creek, creating a landscape of varied relief. Nine trails total 3.8 miles, plus a 2.8-mile mountain bike trail through the woods that opened in 2020. Recreation areas include a campground, Nature-based playground, activity field backstop, sand volleyball court and tetherball. Bicycle pump track. Accessible by two separate entrances, Tupelo Pond/Bridle Trails in Big Creek Park adds an additional two trails totaling 2.9 miles. A section of the statewide Buckeye Trail also passes through Big Creek Park. New features include a reservable lodge, a Nature-based playground, and a unique “tree house” camping facility.
