La Cavalcata dell’Assunta di Fermo è la rievocazione storica più antica d’Italia e risale 1182.
Ieri come oggi, la vittoria nella corsa dei cavalli assegna il Palio dell’Assunta.
Nei giorni precedenti, la rivalità tra le 10 contrade di Fermo si esprime sia a tavola nelle Hostarie che nelle sfide dei giochi storici.
Qualche giorno prima del Palio del 15 agosto si svolge la Tratta dei Bàrberi, ossia il sorteggio con cui i cavalli sono abbinati alle contrade.
The “Cavalcata dell’Assunta” (Cavalcade of the Assumption) of Fermo is the oldest re-enactment in Italy and dates to 1182. Yesterday as today, the victory in the horse race awards the “Palio dell’Assunta” (Assumption Palio). In the days preceding the Palio, the rivalry between the 10 districts of Fermo is expressed both at the tables in the Hostarias and in the challenges of the historical games. A few days before the Palio on August 15th the “Tratta dei Bàrberi” takes place, i.e., the draw with which the horses are paired with the districts.
