This Cache is placed as part of the 2021 Taconic Region Geocaching Challenge. Please see CL 1 for more information. This cache contains a unique stamp which must stay with the cache. Use this stamp to mark your passport. This stamp is NOT a trade item.
At the start of your journey, you got to see the worked open lands. There were low stone walls. Meadows. Trees planted intentionally even. But soon enough these trail made a few dark turns. The Clermont parcel has many hidden areas with their own unique feel. If you continue on this trail, you will soon find yourself in an open forest, and then though some hills, cross the road at the far corner of the park and head back around. There’s just so much to explore here, both natural and historic. But if you are thinking that your journey needs to wrap up, then perhaps you backtrack to the previous intersection and head down the really dark path. It should lead you right back to where you started the journey. Hope you had fun.
