It's the moment you've been waiting for, the post-Covid revival of the Ride Bikes! geocaching events.
Meet from 12:30-1pm at the posted coordinates, which is Brackett's Landing Park in Bothell. At 1pm, those who wish can take a ride on the North Creek Trail.
The 40th in a series of events along the many mostly flat, mostly paved biking/walking trails in the Seattle area. This time we'll be traveling the southern portion of the North Creek Trail, which bisects UW Bothell and wends its way through many office parks, just as its namesake North Creek does.
Per geocaching.com event guidelines, the actual event is the meet-up from 12:30-1pm at the posted coordinates, which is Brackett's Landing Park in Bothell. This event is outdoors, but I will only cancel this event if the weather is terrible: heavy rain, lightning/thunder, snow or ice. Bring a waterproof layer if it might rain, and enough layers/gloves/etc to ward off any cold.
Speaking of guidelines, bring a mask and be prepared to follow the local Covid-19 guidelines, both during the event and during the bike ride. Do not attend if you are sick.
Information for the ride: The trail is mostly paved, but has some dirt sections and one portion where the trail is on the street. The route is here
Please show up well before 1pm so we can leave on time. Check your brakes and air beforehand if you will be biking. Participants in the optional bicycle ride hold harmless the cache owner/event organizer and assume all risks and responsibilties involved in riding a bicycle on trails and streets. Wear a helmet, dress in layers, and bring a spare tube.
