Stevens Lake is a 62 acre impoundment owned by the Commonwealth of PA, and managed by the PFBC. All boats used on the lake must have a valid PA boat launch permit from the PFBC or DNCR.
Stevens Lake isn't as remote as some other lakes I've paddled in the Endless Mountains. Rt. 29 runs less than a quarter mile to the east, and most of the western side of the lake is taken up by a picturesque farm on a hillside. Most, but not all.
