Surrounding Fort Crown Point were three redoubts, smaller fortresses to protect the land access to the fort. The Light Infantry Redoubt is the most visible of these structures. It is located across NY 185 (Bridge Road) almost directly across from the entrance. it’s just a short walk from either parking area, but there is also parking to the right of the mailboxes on the eastern side of the road (if you’re making this your last stop before you head out).
