OUT CACHING WITH MY GRANDSON VALEN TODAY!
I've never been back here before and thought what a nice, close to home place to hike! Would have never came out here, except someone placed a new cache. I love getting out and adventuring in the woods, but don't like going by myself. We tried to get Valens cousins Katelyn and Autumn to come but they were sleeping. I also tried to get thier mother "Veronica" my daughter to come, but she did not answer her phone. And Valens grandpa "Dave" was having knee problems.
It was a great hike, easy too - except when we decided to go check out the cinder pit. Valen wanted to explore the small caves up the hill at the cinder pit. After finding the "Spicy Bill" cache we decided to hike a little further on. I told Valen to find a great place for a cache, and he placed his first cache. Our cache hike is about a 1/2 mile out and there is a clear path.
