I'm not normally a fan of geocaching, but Mum decided I needed some driving practice in an area I'd never been to, and this is one of the places we ended up. First time I have driven on gravel roads - not as terrifying as I expected (for me or the passengers!)
The coordinates are at the parking for the start of the track up to the Mangatoetoe hut - it took us a smidgen under 3 hours to get there and back with loads of river crossings.
But this cache is in the car park, so you can decide whether or not you fancy a walk. If this was on a path, it would probably be a T1. There is plenty of space to turn around. The cache is something we had in the car.
Infoferret, BarefootGuru and Denomynator helped to check the coodinates, so their names are already on the logbook. The FTF is still available.
