Geocache Description:

Numerous bridges can be spotted from Pier Park including large bridges such as the New Westminster Rail Bridge, Pattullo Bridge, Skybridge, Queensborough Railway Bridge and the Alex Fraser Bridge, which provide connections across the Fraser River for people and goods.

Don't worry you won't have to visit those far away strucutres to complete this multi. This multi will take you to three less prominent bridges that allow people to access Pier Park and the New Westminster Quay. The height of these structures allow for great views up and down the Fraser River.

Stage 1: River Market Bridge

How many pie slices are radiating out from the sun painted on the back of the bridge's "RIVER MARKET NEW WESTMINSTER, CANADA" sign? Use the second number in your answer as D.

Walk down the steps on the north side of the bridge into Hyack Sqaure. Looking back at the bridge you will see a collage of black and white photos. Locate the image of a street car driving down the centre of Columbia Street in front of Kidd Market. What year was this photo taken? Use the last number in your answer as F.

Stage 2: Sixth Street Overpass

On the north end of the bridge you will see a white and black New Westminster Parks and Recreation sign with details on when the park is closed.
Looking at the applicable bylaw #
A = Add the last two digits together and subtract from them the first two digits added together. (3rd+4th)-(1st+2nd).
C =  the first two digits in the bylaw # added together.

Stage 3: Fourth Street Overpass

The bridge offers a great vantage point for the art piece birds on a branch. An information plaque about the art piece is located on the overpass. What year did the artists first start to collaborate? Subtract the first number from the fourth number and use that value for B.

There is a parking fee collection machine at the north end of the bridge, its serial number is listed on the side of the machine. Use the first number listed as the value for E.

The cache is located at the final location: N 49° 12.ABC' W 122° 54.DEF'
