Whilst the creeks that lead into the lake have water in the winter months It's been many years since the Lake it self has been filled with water and even longer seen the water sports and hobbies such as fishing, swimming and boating have happened. Also on site is the Greenrise Arboretum Trail, which has 6000 trees, 1200 metres of pathways and showcases 110 species of trees. It links up to the Adam Lindsay Gordon walk which takes you around the dry lake, past the Penola Cemetery and back to the self-contained vehicle site which is available for a 2 night stay for any fully self-contained vehicle.
