Where's the fun on Rt. 11?
Rt 11 between Marathon and Whitney Point runs along the Tioughnioga River. The river provides fishing, swimming, kayak,, canoe or innertube floating. Nearby can be found hiking and biking. Not far from Rt 11 are parks for picnics. Camping is available along the way. And the towns of Marathon and Whitney Point offer places to get food and drink and maybe even ice cream.
So yes fun can be found even on a well traveled route that you may not have considered as a haven of summer fun.
