This cache is a late addition to a series of hiking caches leading to a summit above Pinecrest. For details, please see 1 Pinecrest Everest.
An easy puzzle cache to bring you back to this great hike. And, no need to go all the way to the summit if you've already been there.
To solve the puzzle, visit the world's seventh highest mountain summit, Dhaulagiri, in Nepal. You'll be topping out at 26,795 feet, so breathe fast!
Or...you could just visit Dhaulagiri's tribute cache in the Pinecrest area of Emigration Canyon, a much, much, much easier hike!
7 Pinecrest Dhaulagiri
In the rocks beyond the huge fir tree is a mine entrance. The mine is blocked off, so you can't go far inside.
Near the mine entrance, look around and spot a silver disc engraved with five characters. It's easy to see and no need to go down into the mine!
XX = The two-digit number made from the first two characters + 13.
YY = The position in the alphabet of the only letter on the disc + 82.

Expect a steep climb ahead, but I'm pretty sure it's about flat compared to ascending the real thing in Nepal.
