It has been a couple years since there has been a geocaching event in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area, and since we're starting to get on the backside of the Covid scare I thouht it would be nice to schedule a get acquainted/reacquainted event. I've seen a lot of new geocache names signing logs these last several months and would like to give us all the chance to put a face with a name. If you are a new geocacher or a seasoned geocacher, we would like to see you there, get acquainted, and hear stories about your favorite caching experiences.
This event will be at a small residential park near the Mayor's Bridge in Cedar Falls. To get to the park, from Greenhill Rd go south on S.Main St (by Fareway Grocery Store), then west on Nordic Ridge Dr (across from the round barn), and then turn left on Kael Trail (just around the curve). The park/parking area will be on your left.
There is a shelter house with picnic tables at the park as well as restrooms. Bring lawn chairs if you wish. Come and go as your time allows, but be sure to sign the log sheet while you are there.
We will provide some bottled water and cookies, and if anyone wants to bring something to share feel free (but it is not required).
