Catch and Release Way was a family hunting and fishing cabin for many years. Like our two other geocaches on this section of the Manistee River this property reverted back to the State of Michigan. It is a popular fishing spot and has a small dock that you can land your kayak or canoe at and a turn around driveway. The old falling down red cabin is a ways beyond the driveway and should be avoided as it is not safe to be around. Big hint...the cache is not near the cabin. We knew the previous owner and he was a delightful older gentleman who had been coming since he was a small boy, it was his fathers cabin. He loved to let people fish on his property, as long as they practiced "catch and release". We think he would enjoy all the geocaching friends who will visit this spot! Be sure and prepare for mosquitos and ticks. Lots of deer in the area.
