A Short Walking Tour of Cassidy Street.
Your walking tour includes the sighting of Bell Centre Rural Fire Brigade, the Presbyterian Church, the Catholic Church, Skate Park and Ensor Park. You will not be collecting information from all of these points however they all have vital roles in our local community.
The Bell Centre Fire Bridage is the home of our local rural Fire Fighters. We are a very active group and are deployed in the area not only to fight fires but also as first responders for other emergencies in our immediate area.
At the Presbyterian Church you will see a War Memorial Gate commerating the people who served in the Armed Forces.
At the Catholic Church you will (if during daylight hours) have the opportunity of visiting inside the Church to see the wonderful Murals which adorn the walls. Beside the Church garden you will also see the entrance to the Biblical Garden. This is the site of the "Biblical Gardens Virtual" cache. They also have a commemorative "Bell" between the Church and the Gardens.
Ensor Park is a family friendly park which includes a Skate Park, Childrens Playground, Covered Picnic Tables, BBQ, Toilets and some Church Pews to have a seat.
