Only 1833 feet above sea level but it seems more. I believe the Clemson airport is 850 feet so you are a whole one thousand feet above Tiger Town.
Cache is in an ammunition can. Previous description as follows ;This cache is inside Oconee State Park. There is a fee of $1.50 per person to get in. Once inside the park take a ;stroll around the lake. The cache is located off of the trail around the lake. It is in a one-gallon silver paint can. I ;have tied a large flat washer to the handle so that it can be easily opened without any additional tools. Cache is ;now located at at the park office. I got a note from geocaching.com that a park visitor had taken the cache to the ;park office and I needed to claim it. I have been swamped at work and at home. If you would like to retrieve the ;cache from the office and place it at the stated coordinates that would be an awesome act of geocache kindness. ;The cache has existed for 10+ years. I can not imagine why an individual would 'steal' this cache and essentially ;de-activate it. I am very much disappointed in the state of things. If you are in the area do consider dropping by ;and restoring the cache. My work and family obligations are booked for the next few weeks. So until I, or some ;Geocache Angel fix the cache it is not in the woods at Oconee State Park. I am sorry if this causes any ;disappointment. It is a great place for a cache.
