Come to the top of the world (well, the highest point I've ever been to) and meet a sea-level dweller from the Gulf of Mexico that will be gasping for air just to meet some local geocachers! Please bring oxygen (for me)!
Hoping to get some caching in up here after the event as well, and would love to talk to some of the cachers that have finds in these high-altitude places. I left the event time open for a full hour as I know getting to the top of the mountain is quite a drive, and that should give cachers a bit of leeway to make it between the event start and end time.
There is currently a $15 + $2 fee per vehicle to access Mount Evans and all recration sites. Reservations are open and must be purchased in advance of the event date and can be purchased here: https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10087438
I was already able to get my reservation in, and there are around 40 reservations available to enter in 2-hour time slots (once you get there, you can stay as long as you like, you just have to arrive at the check point within your 2-hour window).
The Mount Evans Scenic Byway is scheduled to reopen on June 4, with reservations available for purchase on June 2, so try to get your reservation in early if you want to attend this event.
