A new railtrail beginning in Townsend, about 1 3/4 mile long at present but more to come. A pleasant walk or bike along the old rail bed bordering the Townsend State Forest. Parking in downtown (!) Townsend, corner of Depot and Center Streets. As the trail has been extended there is some parking at the Harbor Church at the east end of the trail.. BYOP Please replace exactly as found.
