Quench Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Two2teps: Went to check on this cache after a long quiet stretch and a DNF and it looks to be gone. Ironically I did manage to find the abandoned cache that existed here originally and removed and disposed of it's remains.

I shall return.

Geocache Description:

In this small outcropping of the larger Wissahickon, called Clifford park,  you'll find scenic trails leading aroud the grounds and the remains of some Victorian-era landscaping installed by the former owner George Clifford Thomas. You will also find a very thirsty geocache.

This gadget cache badly needs a drink and in my rush to place it I forgot to give it one!  Luckily I left everything you'll need (save one important item) to quench this cache's thirst inside the container.  My guess is that the cache will be so grateful for your help that it will even let you sign it's log book if you help it out.

This is a gadget, or "smart", cache and as such the important item you'll need to bring is a power sourceh to get things going and quench the thirst of this cache.  For the sake of simplicity a USB power brick, commonly used to top off your cell phone, should be all your need.  You'll want to make sure it's fully charged and preferably provides at least 1A (amp) of power to make sure the cache wakes up fully.

Another unique feature of this cache is having three difficulty settings that you can choose.

  • Hard Mode
Find the cache at it's GZ and use the nearby water source to give it a refreshing drink.  Getting down to the water could be a challege and could easily bump this up an entire terrain rating.  There is a high chance you will end up wet and/or muddy.

  • Normal Mode
Find the cache at it's GZ and use the provided "Fountain" coordinates to tote it back to an easy to access water source with steps to rest it and yourself on while operating it.  There is a 100% chance of having to retrace your steps but a significant reduction in terrain difficulty.

  • Easy Mode
Find the cache at it's GZ and bring your own water.  Be warned Quench is thirsty and may drink all of your liquid and require you to try again on normal or hard modes.

One final note, while the cache is very thirsty be sure to let them drink at an normal pace, if you give them too much you may end up all wet. Be sure to replace the stoppers when you're done to help keep the inside of the container dry!

EDIT: I added the "teamwork" attribute to this cache after reading some logs.  The cache is doable solo but could be frustrating juggling all the components, going with a buddy will make solving things that much easier.
