Official Stuff
This cache is placed in a Doraville City Park with permission. The park is open sunrise to sunset. Please do nor hunt after hours. This cache was hidden in cooperation with the Georgia Geocachers Association (GGA)-- the world's oldest Geocaching group!
This Cache
This is a multicache. If you have never done a multicache before, the next section will tell you more about multicaches and how to do them!
This cache would be great for kids! Kids can help figure out which coordinates are the correct ones. The cache is a fairly easy find that they will enjoy. And when they are done, there's a great playground nearby to work out some extra energy!!
For experieneced geocachers you can dive right in!
This cache is a small lock and lock. As smalls go, it's a bit on the larger size. There is room for SWAG and there is some in the cache to start the trading process. The cache is a short distance off the path. Please make sure it is not visible from the path!
The posted coordinates can double as parking coordinates (Well, don't park right there, but you'll see some parking spaces very nearby).
At the posted coordinates, you will see a Yellow Diamonnd sign that says, "Dead End". Just below the "Dead End" diamond, affixed to the same sign post is a smaller, white rectangular sign. There are several words on this sign, the first of which is "City".
To find the cache, simply count the number of words on the sign. Once you have the number, the following chart will tell you the final coordinates! It's that easy!
| If the number of words equals... |

What is a Multicache?
A multicache is a special type of geocache. It will require you to make multiple stops (At least two, and there is no limit on how many!) to find the container with the log. These stops are typically referred to as "Stages". The stages can either contain a physical container, or they can be "virtual", with just a reference to some nearby object (This multicache, for example, has you read a sign). Caches with more than two stages may also include both physical and virtual stages.
Multicaches have some unique attributes:
- The final can be any distance from the posted coordinates. There are some multicaches that require travel over hundreds of miles to make the find!
- The number of stages can be whatever the users wants. There are some multicaches with 40+ stops!
- The cache owner does not have to tell you how many stages are in the multicache. It is their discretion.
- Physical stages of the multicache may be different sizes than what is listed on the cache page (The cache page "size" is for the final only).
Note that even if you encounter physical stages along the way, you must sign the log at the final stage before logging that cache as a find!
Entering Waypoints
In order to navigate to either the next stage of a multicache.(Whether an intermediary or final), you will need to know how to enter a waypoint!
A waypoint is just an extra set of coordinates that you can navigate to.
Here is how to do this using the Official Geocaching App. Note that all geocaching apps have this ability, so if you are using something different than the official app, you can just look at the instructions for that specific app.
Step 1: Find the "Waypoints" menu on the main page of the cache app. Just scroll dow and you will see it! Tap to select

Step 2: You will now see all listed waypoints. Note that usually you will see the "Posted Coordinates" listed as a waypoint. Tap the + button to add a new waypoint

Step 3: Enter the waypoint. Note that you will see "Current Location" and "Posted Coordinates" listed. Tapping either of these will default the waypoint to these coordinates (Handy if the coordinates are close...)

Step 4: Use the waypoint menu to navigate (1), mark as visited (2), edit (3) or delete (4)!

Special note
This process can be used to create a waypoint for any reason, for any type of cache (it isn't for only multicaches). One very useful way to use this is to mark parking where you parked your car or where you exit a trail!! It makes it easy to find it again after hiking in the woods!
Orher Tips For Newer Cachers
If you are new to geocaching here are a few additonal tips for you. Note that these tips apply to all geocaches (Not just this one)
- You will sometimes find what we call SWAG (That's an acronym for Stuff We All Get). You are welcome to trade something of equal or greater value for a piece of SWAG.
- Be sure to sign the physical logbook for all physical caches.
- Re-hide in the same place you found it. Do not attempt to "Hide it Better"
- After giving it a good attempt, if you are unable to find the cache, you can log a "Did Not Find" (DNF).
- If you find the cache, but it's physically damaged, you can log your find, but also log a "Needs Maintenance"
- Feel free to write about your adventure in your log, but be sure not to include any spoilers!
- Feel free to include a picture of your adventure, but be sure not to include any spoilers!
- Events are an amazing way to meet other geocachers and learn more about the game! You can search for events on either the web page or in the app. Events typically don't cost anything to attend and geocachers are typically friendly folk! So, stop on by! The GGA meets the second weekend of every month (Except April and October).
Thanks for visiting this geocache!!
