GCNSW's Winter Walk - The Lizard Log
The event itself is an informal meet and greet, “BYO everything” picnic. Those who attend will have the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends with a common interest, pick up the latest information on equipment, techniques and software, share stories about the latest caching adventure and swap travel bugs and geocoins. You may even pick up a hint on those pesky DNFs or get a clue or two on how to solve a puzzle cache you’ve been stumped on. For those cachers who just want to attend the event, it officially commences at 9am near the start of The Moonrise Loop. There will be a group photo taken at 11:30am, so make sure to be there at this time.
Our large white “Geocaching NSW” banner and portable gazebo will be located at the published coordinates. At least one member of the Committee will be in attendance at the published coordinates for the duration of the event
Suggested walk nearby: The Moonrise Loop walk is a moderate hike at 6.2km's. It should take about 2 hours, including some geocache hunting time. The track is mostly paved with some dirt sections. Not suitable for strollers but bikes would be fine, parking is available close by. You can complete this walk after the event if you have time - it is a lovely walk!
Time: 9:00am - 11:30am
Location: Lizard Log Park, The Horsley Drive and Cowpasture Road, Abbotsbury NSW 2176
Optional Walk: We'll be setting off on along The Moonrise Loop at 9:15am (see above). Of course this is optional and you are welcome to enjoy the sun and geochat at GZ instead.

Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, hat, water, chair.
