Geocache Description:

UK Mega 2021: Lincolnshire

Church Micro 13983...Ingham

All Saints, with its beautiful stained glass east window, is a peaceful, welcoming church and its well kept churchyard contains a 13th century gravestone and village war memorial.

A small Early English church with a nave, chancel, and west bell turret. The chancel windows are probably dated around 1896. The west porch was constructed in 1931. The font was apparently made up in the 19th century from a Perpendicular bowl and an Early English base. A 13th century grave cover, in the churchyard south of the nave, is complete with a floriate cross head. Over the years this little medieval church had become so ruinous that it was taken down and rebuilt as a two-cell structure in 1792. It was then restored in 1896 and 1931. Also, my parents were married here on 2nd January 1960!

The cache is not at the published coordinates but you will need to visit this place and look for certain information in order to identify the location of the actual geocache.

You are looking for a wooden bench at the south-west corner of the church, within the churchyard. Look at the carved inscription along the top rail of the bench.
