We have no idea why this park doesn't already have a cache. This is a park (pun intended) and grab. We always take notice of parks and memorials honoring military men and women, past, present and future. Of our four parents, one served in the Navy (he "enjoyed" time in a life boat when the mine sweeper he was on was sunk in the Pacific), one served in the Marines and one served in the Army (he participated in the Battle of the Bulge as a 19 year old infantry soldier). One of us (okay, it is me) thinks a good name for this park would be Reflection Park, a place where people can reflect about the contributions of the military over the years.
