Geocache Description:

Welcome to Goal!

In this series, there is one geocache hidden at the stadiums of the Top 20 football clubs in the history of the Premier League (as of the end of 2020). To find the eventual bonus cache, you will have to take note of the bonus numbers on the logbook. Good luck!’

Thank you for visiting Selhurst Park: the home of Crystal Palace since 30th August 1924, when Crystal Palace lost 2 - 0 to Sheffield Wednesday in front of 25,000 fans. The record attendance at the ground was set on Friday 11th May 1979 when 51,482 spectators (including the CO) watched Palace beat Burnley 2 - 0 to secure the Football League Two championship title.

The ground also holds the record attendance for Division 4 (now League Two) when 37,774 people watched Palace play Millwall on 31st March 1961. I won't mention the score, but it is fair to say the majority went home disappointed.
