PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION FOR TIDE TIMES AND SAFETY.
Tower #6 used to have a cache, however due to safety concerns, it has been archived. (The cache was on the upper level, within the tower). The ladder leading up is now unsafe to use in particular rung 7 and 8.
FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE LADDER BEYOND RUNG 6!

The walk is about 6 - 8km round trip (depending on where you park) and you should allow yourself 90 miniutes to 2 hours for it, or about 3 hours if you're planning on continuing to towers #7 and #8. It takes us about half an hour to reach tower #6 from P2 near the golf club, but we're fast walkers.....
Aim to arrive at the tower at least 15mins before low tide. The hike will be soft/muddy underfoot. Do not attempt this cache on your own or at night time. Tell someone where you're going and when you are likely to be back at the car. Wellie boots are advisable as there will be some wading along the way.

There are currently caches at all towers #1 through to #8, placed by 3 different COs.
The cache itself is very easy to find. Any cacher eye can see it on approach. Given the location, we didn't feel it was necessary to hide it completely. We hope you'll enjoy the experience of walking "in the middle of the River Clyde", or to re-visit if you have done any or some of the other caches along the way.
The T-rating reflects the walk/terrain to reach GZ. Once there, the cache itself is more like a T1.5 or T2.
