Friar Tuck, too, was being sought by the same band of Sheriff's men that were out for Little John, knowing their camps were in the same section of Sherwood Forest. THANKFULLY, the good friar had gone off on a special errand for Robin so that, when the Sheriff's men arrived, although they easily found his camp, they found no Friar Tuck! In great anger, their devestation of THIS area was even more severe than the destruction of Little John's hideout.
With only a poor spot left for a camp worthy of a good friar, Little John invited his friend to come join him in his new hideout since there was plenty of room for them to safely distance themselves (would draw less attention) while still being able to keep watch in each direction. The plan seemed good to Tuck, and so he is happily and snuggingly hidden away. Listen closely and you may hear him chuckling to himself...or is that praying?
