Welkom to Nederland! Settled by Dutch immigrants, The Dutch Windmill Museum is an exact replica of one you'd find across the pond in Holland. Go inside the two-story museum to find turn-of-the-century European artifacts from tulips and wooden shoes to an Olympic Medal and Civil War memorabilia. The adjacent home is called La Maison Acadienne, or the "French House," which is a replica of the early Acadian homes you'd find in South Louisiana. The park is named after Tex Ritter, a country western music star.
Located on Boston Avenue, Nederland's main throughfare, you'll find a number of cute boutiques and spots to waste away the day.
