The Moondarra Cycling Track is 13-kilometres of exciting and challenging recreational landscape in Mount Isa which attracts enthusiastic walkers, runners and hobby cyclists. Joyce McCulloch, Mayor at the time the path was built, said it was designed with safety in mind, providing a clear separation between the track and the main road.
This series of bison tubes has been hidden along this cycling track starting from the Lake Moondarra end of the track. Most hides are withing 5-10m of the bitumen track. The trek can be completed on foot, bicycle or in a vehicle, but please note that vehicles must not travel on the cycling track at any time.
If you are walking or cycling, particularly in the hotter months, please ensure you keep hydrated. If you are travelling in a vehicle, please make sure you park in safe locations, completely off the road, as there is quite a lot of traffic on this road, especially in the afternoons, and on weekends.
The hides are not meant to be difficult to find, and should be easy to spot, even for the newest cachers.
