FTIC - July 2021 Event Cache

Welcome to First Thursdays in Columbia (FTIC)!

This is a monthly event on the first Thursday of every month in Columbia, Maryland.

We will be meeting on Thursday, July 1st from 6:30-8:00 PM. We will be in the same location as June's event, an outdoor gather place next to an office building in the Columbia Mall parking lot. There is plenty of parking close by, either in the mall lot, or an adjacent parking garage. The parking garage will be used in case of inclement weather. It worked well last month!

Attendees can choose to bring and wear a mask/face covering to protect others, and practice social distancing guidelines. There are a number of nice benches to sit on in the gathering area. You may want to bring a chair if it looks like we would be in the parking garage.

This is a simple meet and greet for geocachers in and around Columbia, Maryland. Anyone and everyone is welcome. 

We use this event for meeting fellow cachers, planning trips, recommending caches and giving tips, to name a few... Although we’ve normally met at the food court in the Columbia Mall, because of our social distancing concerns during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve moved the location outdoors. There was a discussion last month about continuing this event outdoors moving forward. We geocachers are an outdoor lot!

If you are hungry, there is a good variety of fast food restaurants in the food court in and around the Columbia Mall for all tastes and desires.
