Paper Airplane Contest

Friday, Aug 13th at Regner Park

Build your Paper Airplane: 6:45 pm-7:15pm under the Pavilion (see Rules)

Race: 7:20pm in the Soccer Field by the parking lot (See Rules)

Awards!  Gift Card and Geocoin Prizes for the 3 planes that land the greatest distance from the start line! 

CONTEST RULES:

1. Official paper will be provided (standard 8.5"x11").  To be included in the contest, you must use the paper provided.

2. Your plane must be folded and created with only the paper provided.  No glue, tape, or other fasteners are allowed.

3. You must write your team name on your plane to be eligible for a prize. Also include your first name if more than one person per team.  

4. Every individual of a team may have 1 sheet of paper. (Due to large number of expected teams). 

5. Each plane has one attempt to fly from behind the start line at 7:20 (you can practice elsewhere ahead of time). You have  3 seconds from the sound of the horn to launch your plane.  We may need to go in waves.  If your plane hits (or is hit by) another plane in the air, that's just bad luck. Sorry, no do-overs.

6. The 3 planes that land the furthest distance from the start line will win prizes and admiration. 

7.  After the winners are determined,everyone that flew a plane must pick up a random plane (or two)!  CITO!  In your "Attended" Log, mention whose plane(s) you picked up!   If you find that team during Cache Ba$h weekend, say hello!
