Ring-billed Gull

The Ring-billed Gull is a medium sized gull that is distinguished by the black band across their yellow bills. They have a mainly white body and head, yellow legs, a pale grey back, and pale colored eyes.   Ring-billed gulls can catch food from the air while flying and will eat almost anything. These gulls are comfortable around humans and are very often found on the beach in large groups.  They are also frequently found at garbage dumps.

Optional: In your log let us know if you were you able to identify this bird while searching for caches along this trail.
