During the pandemic, our family has picked up a few more outdoor activities. One of them is Magnet Fishing! It's a simple activity that requires only a few items that can be picked up on Amazon or locally (you may already have these items):
1. A large rare earth magnet with an eyelet
2. Water-resistant rope, paracord is popular
3. Gloves for protection from sharp and yucky items
4. Bucket to keep or dispose of what you pull from the water
The reason I bring this up is that one day we were magnet fishing at Nose creek, close to the hiding spot for this cache when my son latched onto a large piece of metal that required him to get close to the creek to pull the item up. The exact instant he reached down to grab the metal piece a muskrat surfaced from the water to see what all the commotion was about. My son froze as he came face to face with the muskrat. Luckily, the muskrat made the first move to get out of dodge lickity-split.
The hiding spot for this cache is a place that a muskrat has left some visual evidence of its presence in the area (It was probably a beaver but I like to think it was a giant muskrat
). Hence the name for this cache.

Just note that we've fished most of Nose creek park so you may not find much there.
Here's a picture of my son, pulling a U-bolt out of Nose creek!

Congrats to FordNatic and 1Cat2NV for the FTF!
