On Day 1 of Linebacker II, SSgt. Samuel Turner, tail gunner on Brown 03, shot down a MiG-21, the first in B-52 combat history.
On Dec. 24, the seventh day of the Linebacker II campaign, A1C Albert Moore, a gunner on Ruby 03, shot down a MiG, the final confirmed B-52 gunner kill ever recorded.
