This cache is located in the Delaware Cemetery near Dingmans Ferry, PA. Please enter the cemetery via the Main Entrance on Route 739, just a few hundred feet north of the Rt.. 209/Rt. 739 intersection. The cache is a soda bottle preform container. It is rated as a 2 terrain due to the amount of slippery leaves on the stairs. Please be extra careful in wet weather.
You can park in the grass along the cemetery road and walk up the hill towards the trailhead. (Please Do Not park right at the trailhead).
You will be heading down the steps towards a special section of the cemetery that was set aside in 1939 for poor or unknown persons. They named this section the Olde Poor Lot. The remains of the people buried here were originally in the main cemetery and were transferred to this area. The graves are marked by PVC pipes in the shape of crosses. There is one symbolc grave, that of Civil War veteran Reuben Spencer, which was placed here in 2011.
Please be careful walking down the stairs, as there are a lot of slippery leaves along the stairway and the path. There is a bench at the bottom to sit and reflect your thoughts.
