If your reading this it probably because your interested in our hide, let me take a min and introduce ourselves…..
We are a family of four who love adventures. We enjoying hiking, kayaking, exploring new places. So geocaching has just become a part of life for us as it fit right in with our life styles. We enjoyed so many places on our own, but geocaching has taking us to so many more we didn’t know where here. We always try our best while we are out to cache in and trash out. Some of our caches are made from containers we found while looking for other caches. Mother Nature would much rather us put it to good use.

Along the Goat Island Trail you will see the unspoiled natural beauty of the Bras d’Or Lakes, Canada’s Inland Sea. Meet interpretive guides who will share Mi’kmaq history and culture through stories, music and various demonstrations. Interpreters will demonstrate their knowledge of medicinal plants, herbs, how to construct a wigwam and the history of Eskasoni and Goat Island.
The Story of Goat Island
Goat Island is located within the First Nations community of Eskasoni and was originally called Indian Island. Goat Island is so named because, during centralization, goats were placed in the community for farming purposes. After they began to eat everything in the community, the goats were taken and placed on the island.
Come and Visit Goat Island!
