When hiding this cache I noticed a couple of interesting things in this area of Nose Creek Park. There was a unique memorial tree that had trinkets from the branches and flowers placed at the base. It was dedicated to a person named Mindy (no last name). Secondly, there were a few birds with vibrant colored feathers flying around the area. Lucky for me I came across a sign in the park that described that type of bird to be a Red-winged Blackbird that calls Airdrie home year-round. I found it very interesting that these birds circle this area of the park, I like to think they are the guardians of Mindy's tree, a special person who only lived 26 years (1990-2016).
Even though I've written a bunch about the tree, the cache is actually placed a little further away and is tucked away out of sight.
