The Big (Calgary Stampede Challenge Olio #) 4 Mystery Cache

Background

Welcome to my series of odd and miscellaneous challenges.

This seemed like the most appropriate time and "place" to publish this cache. Ever since I started this series, I've wanted to come up with a signature challenge or some sort of local-centric challenge for Calgary, something unique to our city. Now, what is Calgary known for? What really symbolizes Calgary? Hmm...

Let's hope I've come up a challenge worthy of its Calgary namesake. This challenge celebrates Calgary's iconic "Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth" as well as Calgary's roots and Western heritage. As you can see, it's almost like they are a perfect match.

The Challenge

Howdy pardner, to qualify for this challenge, you y'all must find

• 222 caches with the Horses allowed attribute, and
• 222 caches with the Livestock nearby attribute.

If you are wondering why I chose that specific number, hopefully you can put it all together and see a connection to Patrick Burns, George Lane, A. E. Cross, and Archibald J. McLean, who were a group of businessmen integral to the history of the Calgary Stampede and in fitting with this challenge's theme.

The Requirements

A couple more things about the challenge to be aware of:

• All cache types except adventure lab caches and benchmarks can be used for this challenge.
• If a cache has both attributes, it can be considered for both criteria.
• In the past, it was possible to log your own caches. These caches are not allowed for this challenge.
• Past finds count. Any caches that you have found and have been archived or disabled after you have found them can be used for this challenge if it meets the criteria.

The fine print

CO reserves the right to make any changes to this challenge if any issues or ambiguities are discovered. CO will be fair but has the final say on any events, caches, finds, or logs that are questionable. CO reserves the right to delete any logs if problems are found.

Finding This Cache Head ’em up, move ’em out.

Do NOT access this cache from Highway 2. Please use mosey down the nearby service road instead.

Please remember to be respectful of the cache location. Be aware of how and where the cache is "attached" so that it can be put back in exactly the same way and in the same place for the next person(s) to enjoy. Only the "inner" portion of the cache needs to be removed to log the cache. The container may not be accessible during the winter months.

Logging This Cache

As with any challenge caches, you are welcome to physically sign the log for this cache and log it as "Write Note" if you haven't met the challenge's requirements yet. Please bring your own pen(cil)/writing instrument to sign the log.
