We hid this cache in the summer. With so many of the natural springs drying up or full of algae, we decided to venture off and find a spring we have never visited before. Rumor has it that not many people know about this spring, so you may find yourself the only one here (as we did). The spring has 2 pools. One that is always in the shade and one that the sun can reach. There are also 2 picnic tables. This place is perfect for couples, or people with smaller children. The pools are not too deep but the water is very cold. The pool closest to the source should be clear, in the summer the pool further from source may be full of algae...we went in anyway.
How to get there: Do not use Google Maps because it isn't on the app. There are no signs to point you in the right direction but we found very precise directions on the internet. The walk will take about 15 minutes or 10 if you are fast. There isn't any shade on the walk there.
1. Use the waypoints and park in the parking lot that is located in front of the chicken coops.
2. walk down the road along the coops until you get to a gate in front of a path (see picture).
3. Walk on this path about 300 meters until you get to a split in the path, continue straight after the split.
4. After 200 meters you will reach a shady area with grape vines and a big fig tree. Great you are almost there!
5. After the fig tree you will see a small path on your left, going down the pools. A picnic table will be a sign that you found them.
6. The pools will be a bit hidden on your left. Enjoy!
