Small magnetic container with log.
Not accessible from the opposite layby, you must not cross the Gateway on foot.
The Bay Gateway has made an enormous difference to Morecambe and Lancaster, giving reliable quick access to the M6.
I usually speed along it in the car, but cycling along it recently I noticed how it joins up with several other cycleways and footpaths. I have set a small series of caches along the gateway intended for cachers on foot or on their bike near access to some of these points. These are possible as "drive and walk" caches using the laybys on the gateway, but no consideration has been given to parking in placing these caches. The caches are only accessible by car if you are driving East to West (M6 towards Heysham). If doing these by car, please be aware the laybys can be quite busy with lorry drivers and their lorries resting on their way to Heysham port, especially in the evening.
