Viticulture in the region was created in the 16th century during the Turkish expansion. Some cellars are believed to be as old as 4-500 years. Interestingly, in Malý Horeš there are the cellars, but all growers have their vineyard on the western slope of Kráľovský Chlmec. There are 317 cellars and 83 entrances. From one entrance you can reach just 1 or even 13 cellars. The wine cellars are a famous place for a social life. The Malý Horeš's cellar days bring thousands of people to the region, visitors come from all over Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and one year there was even a visitor from Kazakhstan.
