The Geocache Games – Welcome to Canmore is a family friendly cache that can be found along the Legacy Trail on the west side of town. For those not familiar with the Legacy Trail, it is a scenic three metre wide, 26 kilometre long, paved trail that connects the communities of Canmore and Banff. The route runs parallel to the highway and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. It is said to take about 90 minutes from Canmore to Banff (a few hills to climb), but only 45 minutes to ride back. I am hoping to tackle this ride over the summer of 2021!
The cache is in a wallet-size container. It has a scroll, pencil and some Canada/Alberta/Canmore related goodies for the littles along for the ride and anyone who wants a small tradeable.
