The LARCH Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

barrington: This cache has been stolen, and will not be replaced in the same coordinates. I'll likely place a new cache in the general area in the spring (2005) but in a more secure location. Thanks to everyone who visited!

Geocache Description:

The cache is located in Genesee County Park, in an area that is accessible year-round.

The cache is placed about 50 feet from a wide mowed path in a stand of tamarack trees (also known, especially in the UK, as “The LARCH”). Difficulty and distance will depend on where you start, ranging from a slight grade and short walk from one parking lot, to a longer walk over a couple pretty good hills from another lot. There’s lots of forking paths, so be sure to waypoint where you parked.

The cache is a .30 cal ammo can, camo painted, stocked with items I had pack-ratted away at home. Included are some fishing items (spinning lures and tied flies), a wide angle add-on for a truck mirror, a dog tug-of-war toy, an assortment of screws, and a radar detector. All useful adult items, no kids toys, so please swap appropriately to maintain that theme and value level for cachers that follow (no one likes to find a cache full of Happy Meal toys and plastic do-dads).
