Stow Park Railway Station was originally opened as Marton Railway Station on 9 April 1849 on the Great Northern & Great Eastern Joint Railway. It closed on 1 December 1864 before reopening on 15 July 1867. The station was renamed Stow Park on 1 December 1871 and remained open until 11 September 1961 when it closed for the last time. The line is still open.
