Geocache Description:


You’ll find this micro cache at the Zephyrhills Railroad Depot and Museum.

This is a hide-a-key, log-and-go cache so there is no need to bring any trinkets to exchange. As usual, since this is a public place, please be discrete when hunting.

The original Depot was built by the Atlantic Coast Railroad in 1927 at a cost of $13,207.21. Famous trains such as the “Orange Blossom Special” and the "Gulf Coast Limited” were among those stopping at the Depot.

With assistance of the state and federal grants, the City of Zephyrhills acquired the building in 1988 and restored it to it’s original appearance. In October of 1998, it re-opened to the public as a historical museum.

To find this cache, you’ll want to look for the North end of a South-bound train.
