Chameleon

Currently there are 19 species of formally described chameleons within South Africa, around 80% of these species are endemic to South Africa. There are 17 species of Dwarf Chameleons (Bradypodion) and 2 species of typical chameleons (Chamaeleo).
Common KZN chameleons
1. KwaZulu Dwarf Chameleon

Size: A small chameleon not exceeding 130mm
Colour: A brownish grey nondescript chameleon which may light white or small orange blotches on its sides.
2. Flapneck Chameleons

Size:
A large typical chameleon which may reach just over 300mm
Colour:
Typically a bright green, lime green to yellowish green with a distinctive white broken white stripe along the side of the body.
Small container with log only. Bring along your own pen.
