This geocache is located in the Grasagarður, a botanical garden in Laugardalur valley. Grasagarðurinn was founded in 1961. The role of this botanical garden is to preserve and register plants for education, research and enjoyment. The garden houses about 5000 plants in eight garden sections. Grasagarðurinn is one of the biggest botanical gardens in Reykjavík and it is nice to walk around in it and see all the different plant species.
