The Grade II-listed village cross in Woodhouse was erected in 1775 by Joseph Littlewood, which replaced an earlier buttery cross.

It was restored in 1826, and also in 1897, both dates showing on the cross. It is topped with a sundial and a wrought-iron weather vane, unforunately damaged.
Behind the cross is Woodhouse's oldest building, Cross Daggers, built in 1658. This is also Grade II-listed.
By the cross is a set of stocks. According to the sign close by, the stocks were erected sometime after 1405.
